What is toxic shock?

Although it sounds dangerous, toxic release happens from a chiropractic adjustment. Core Health Berks is here to explain exactly what it is.

Chiropractic care is one of the best non-invasive practices to have done to you. It is safe, natural, and effective. One of the temporary issues that come from chiropractic adjustments is toxic release. What is it, and is it serious? The toxins in your body get released from an adjustment. The toxins leave your body within those few days. However, this is a great thing to have happen. It means your body is being cleaned without a downside from an adjustment. This release leaves you with cold symptoms, but it is temporary. Although it does happen, it does not happen to everyone, so try not to worry.

Why Does Toxic Release Happen?

A manipulation can be made in your spine and joints there sometimes is a negative reaction. That spawns the release. To explain, chiropractic care clears subluxation and interference in the spine. Your body may need some time to adjust to the improvements. As mentioned before, it may not happen, and it is a part of the adjustment. 15-20% of customers experience some level of toxic release.

If you feel the symptoms, do not feel discouraged, because this is a normal reaction to the treatment. The more you receive chiropractic care, the release will gradually decline, then not be there at all. The reason for that is if adjustments are regular, your body will have fewer toxins in them.
