What is physical therapy?

Physical therapy is a patient-centered approach to healthcare that places an emphasis on providing a high quality of care that is based on the latest evidence-based research. At the core of physical therapy is the development of individualized treatment plans that are tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each patient. Physical therapists use a hands-on manual approach to help restore function, decrease pain, and promote a speedy recovery for individuals of all ages, from 5 and up.

In addition to the hands-on approach, physical therapists also work to prevent injuries and provide education on how to maintain and improve physical health. Patients can form close relationships with their physical therapist in a fun and upbeat environment, which helps to create a positive and supportive atmosphere for healing.
