Your First Visit

Your pelvic floor therapist will conduct a thorough evaluation regarding your current condition and concerns through a review of your medical history and questions about your daily habits and routines, i.e. eating, drinking, voiding, sexual history, exercise, etc.

Your therapist will first conduct an external exam of your posture, hips, abdomen, and pelvic floor muscles in order to assess how they affect your movement and pain in functional activities. With your consent, an internal exam will also be conducted to assess the movement of your pelvic floor muscles.
