Here at Core Health Chiropractic, we are a team of dedicated professionals, ready to do whatever it takes to improve the health of your spine.

Dr. Jason Balthaser, DC, CCEP

Dr. Jason Balthaser is a Berks County native, growing up in Bernville, PA, and attending Tulpehocken Area High School. Dr. Balthaser completed his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Marietta, GA. While at Life University he was mentored and worked with Chiropractors who have worked with the United States Track and Field Athletes.

Those athletes went on to compete in the Olympic Games, as well as in various domestic and international competitions, in addition to other professional athletes worldwide. Dr. Balthaser was also personally selected to assist in the care for AC Milan’s and Brazilian National Soccer player, Alexandre Pato.

Dr. Balthaser has completed a post-Doctorate specialization in extremities and rehab, and is a certified chiropractic extremity practitioner (CCEP), through the Council on Extremity Adjusting.

Dr. Jason is also a Functional Movement Screening certified practitioner, in addition to having over 15 years coaching and personal training experience. Dr. Balthaser is a former collegiate soccer goalkeeper for Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania where he graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Science and Athletics with a focus on rehabilitative practices.

Upon graduating, he worked for the Lebanon VA medical center as a Kinesiotherapist. As a Kinesiotherapist he oversaw the rehabilitation of the nursing home and hospice care units, as well as, the lead KT for the nationwide veterans obesity clinic (M.O.V.E).

Dr. Balthaser is a father of 3 year old twin girls, Rhya and Ella, who have been under chiropractic care since birth. He resides with his wife, Dr. Sarah Balthaser, and daughters in Berks County, PA, and is co-owner and physician at Core Health Chiropractic, Wyomissing, PA. In Dr. Jason’s spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, is an avid runner, and is the Director of Goal Keeping for the Reading Rage Youth Soccer Club where his office, Core Health Chiropractic, is the official health care providers for the entire club.

Dr. Sarah Balthaser, DC, MPH

Dr. Sarah Balthaser is a 2007 graduate of Bloomsburg University with a B.S. in Speech Pathology and Anthropology. Upon completing her Bachelor’s degree she began to plan for a career in healthcare but was not sure in what capacity. She attended the University of Pittsburgh and completed a Masters of Public Health. After graduating with her MPH she worked in non-profit and for profit sectors of healthcare.

Dr. Sarah was a competitive swimmer and played water polo throughout her life, and had always experienced shoulder and neck pain. After becoming a chiropractic patient she began to feel relief, not only from her musculoskeletal issues, but also slept better and overall felt more healthy.

Since high school, she has been under chiropractic care, and when her husband started to pursue a chiropractic career, she knew that she wanted to help others in the same way.

She and her husband, Dr. Jason Balthaser decided to move to Atlanta on their 1 year wedding anniversary to pursue a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University. While in school, she carried twins full term and delivered them naturally. She attributes her healthy pregnancy and never having back pain with regular chiropractic care. The twins have been adjusted since birth and are happy and healthy three-year-olds!

Dr. Henrique Ribeiro, DC

Dr. Henrique (Rick) Ribeiro is from Newark, NJ, and attended undergraduate college locally at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. While at his undergrad he played rugby and helped with coaching on a developmental side. He also helped the athletic department as an Athletic Trainers Assistant. After graduating from Kutztown, he went on to attend Chiropractic school at Palmer College of Chiropractic located in Davenport, Iowa.

Here he continued his rugby career and was lucky enough to be called co-captain in his final season. While at Palmer he was selected for a preceptorship at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital where he worked in the clinic for 8 months serving active duty service members.

Throughout his schooling, he has become certified in various techniques such as MDT (mechanical diagnosis therapy), SFMA Level 1. Dr. Rick is excited to bring his knowledge to make a healthier, happier Berks County.

Jill Vasquez, Office Manager

Jill is a successful business-minded individual who ran her own pet sitting business for many years and has an extensive management background. Jill is motivated and so excited to be a part of the most amazing chiropractic office in Berks County! Jill is new to chiropractic but has reaped the many benefits of chiropractic care, including keeping her spine aligned so she can enjoy a pain-free life and making her health a priority.

Jill is originally from Long Island, NY and moved to Pennsylvania in 2009. She lives in Wyomissing with her husband, daughter, four dogs, and a tortoise. Jill loves being a part of the Core Health Family – especially in helping Berks County live their healthiest and happiest lives!

Becca Sholl, Chiropractic Assistant

Becca is an easy going and charismatic individual who moved to Berks County in 1998 from a small town just outside of Indiana, PA. (Home town of Jimmy Stewart!) Even though she is a small town girl at heart she enjoys traveling and exploring new places. Becca’s favorite place to be is at the shore spending time with her husband and 6 children. She loves to bake for her family and friends.

Since starting chiropractic care, Becca and her children have noticed a huge difference in their overall health and well being. Becca is a valuable member of our team as she helps coordinate our public events, introducing the community to Core Health Chiropractic. She loves working with all of our patients, helping them to achieve their health goals! GO BIRDS!

Courtney Kohler, Chiropractic Assistant

Courtney graduated from Penn State Berks in May of 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. She knew Kinesiology was the right field of study for her because she loves being active and wanted to help others enjoy being active as well. Outside of work, she does CrossFit and enjoys being in the outdoors, hiking, and kayaking.

Courtney grew up in Berks County and graduated from Daniel Boone High School. She discovered Core Health and the benefits of chiropractic while in college. Chiropractic care has made a big difference in her active lifestyle and she wants to help others experience that difference.
