Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Core Health Chiropractic is seeking a part-time (with the potential to reach full-time as caseload builds) Pediatric Occupational Therapist to assist pediatric patients with improving daily living, sensory processing, postural control and other foundational skills important for continued development and independence in daily life skills. Our OTs utilize a developmental, brain-based approach to address and build underlying skills such as postural control, gross and fine motor control, visual motor integration, bilateral coordination, sensory processing skills etc.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with the pediatric population, as well as be knowledgeable in developmental theories and approaches.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Pelvic Floor Therapist’s role is to provide exceptional care through the evaluation, design, and implementation of care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Facilitate meaningful change via holistic, strengths-based, creative therapeutic approaches
  • Assess patients skill levels and develop plan of care, goals and appropriate frequency of services
  • Determine home programs and provide to patient and caregivers
  • Communicate and interact with patient’s caregivers to facilitate collaboration
  • Document interventions and responses
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Attend educational workshops/courses to continue to develop clinical skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Master’s Degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy preferred
  • Work experience: At least one year experience in pediatrics preferred
  • Licenses/Certifications
  • Pennsylvania state Occupational Therapist license required
  • Basic Life Support/CPR for a healthcare provider required

  • Outpatient pediatric occupational therapy
  • Schedule: TBD – Full-time (>35 hours/week) requiring at two to three evenings until 7 pm or Part-time (<35 hours/week) requiring at least two evenings until 7 pm
