Chiropractic or Massage? Why Not Both!

We know it can be a tough decision between scheduling a chiropractic adjustment or a massage. But why not both?

Massages have many benefits, one being that it’s very relaxing. Another is that it can help with any tension that the body may be carrying, such as anxiety, headaches, or digestive disorders. Seeing a chiropractor can also relieve some tension, but they adjust your body to help with any spinal and joint manipulations.

There are different types of massages and each one can help with different parts of the body. Types include deep tissue, which helps with blood flow and or pain management. Your massage therapist will use pressure to target those muscles that may be giving you any kind of discomfort.

Sports massages are another common massage, this one is normally recommended to active people. Doesn’t necessarily mean just working out in the gym. This can also include people who like to swim, run, or hike. This massage can help prevent injuries, faster recovery, and even improve endurance. Those are just a few of the benefits of a Sports Massage.

Now that we’ve talked a little bit about massage, let’s discuss combining both Massage and Chiropractic care. For starters, they both come with different benefits. We know that massages are more of a manipulation of your muscles and soft tissue. A chiropractor is an adjuster when your spine and musculoskeletal are aligned you can have better mobility, reduce inflammation, and pain.

By combining both, the benefits are endless. Your body will experience a better nervous system, more blood flow, less inflammation, and more flexibility. Now I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t walk, I would run and schedule your next massage and chiropractic appointment. Besides all the positives who wouldn’t want to feel more relaxed and do something good for their body!?
